Back to homepage Audioboo The Giant and Jack So, you all know the story of Jack and the bean stalk right? Wrong! That little brat Jack came into my house, asked for food, asked my wife not to tell me, and then stole my things! Well this is how it really goes .... "Once upon a time there was a tremendously big cottage high in the sky. A giant named Tiny lived in it with his wife, Teeny. Tiny worked in a big office building, and I mean big! A lot of giants worked there. Tiny was a bit lazy and got sent to the manager. A big spat between the manager and tiny had started about his laziness. Turns out tiny got sacked (No surprises there). He gathered his wages and things and left. ' Home at last' Tiny screamed. Tiny didn't know it but Teeny( His wife) was talking to a little scrawny boy from the village below the almighty cottage. The boy called himself Jack. 'Teeny' yelled Tiny. ' Yes dear. How was your day?' asked Teeny. Jack told Teeny not to tell and had hidden somewhere, he could see everything. It was like a movie. He had food, a drink, and a front row seat. Jack turned around and saw a million sacks of golden coins. Without thinking, he ran across the room, grabbed as many sacks as his sweaty little hands (their little to me) could hold. He climbed down to his ungrateful mother. 'We can't buy food with these'she quoted. 'It's not the right currency. Though I suppose we can sell them' she said with a smirk. A day later, Tiny went to the market with all his golden eggs laid by his golden goose. Jack had once again came, asked for more food from Teeny, and then hid whenTiny came home. ' Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum . I smell the blood of an englishman. He be alive or he be dead, I'll grind his bones to make my bread!'( I wouldn't really, I just like scaring people, especially humans.)

"Bye Mum , can't be late for water wise" I exlaimined as I rushed out the door. I ran to the shed to get my bike out. as soon as I had my helmet on I biked away like a tiger was chasing me until I got to school. When I got to class,I literally had 5 minutes to get ready for water wise. I had to get into mufti, be ready for roll, and get my bag packed properly for water wise.
I jumped out of the van and skipped to the green luscious grass with everyone else and sat at the rickety old table under the shady tree. 5 minutes ticked by and we lined up to get our bright orange and yellow life jacket's on."Everyone back on your seats" bellowed Mr Nicholls harshly, but I was already back on the crooked old bench trying to figure out how to breath properly. We learn enough information to fill up a whole classroom, but a few little things that I remembered were parts of the optimist, and how tight your life jacket needs to be.
Ropes were given out by the parent helpers and we tried doing all these different knots. A figure 8 knot is one I can remember. There are 3 knot's that we learnt but now I can only remember 1. Sails went up and children ran over to the boats and listened carefully to instructions. Great, w had to put together the boats and take them apart again, and again, and again! It was tiring but I loved every part of it.
Finale, morning tea! We were all tired from the day we just had and we all tucked into our food. I had sandwiches and cookies and a carrot. Then we all jumped for joy when the teacher said that we could go for a swim, but... there were mini jellyfish in the ocean, most people didn't mind but I got out quick! I didn't want to be stung. I got out with a few my friends and about five minutes later everyone else got out to get changed. We were the last group to go back to school. The day was probably the best day at the beach ever!
